Energy Auditing
If you are interested in measuring your own energy use at work or at home, then it is hard to beat the Energy Monitor 3000 (for Australia). This is an easy to use mains (240V a.c.) energy measuring instrument that gives accurate instantaneous readings of mains volts, current (up to 13A), frequency, power, VA and power factor. It also records the operating tijme of the appliance in hours and as a % of total time. It is equipped with a backup battery to remember accumulated energy toltals.
